Cutting Master 5– Adobe Illustrator / CorelDRAW plug-in software –
Cutting Master 5 is Graphtec plug-in software for Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW Graphic Suite.
It includes convenient functions such as synchronizing cutting condition between the software and cutting plotters. Cutting Master 5 is easy to use and enables you to get the best performance from your plotter.
Major useful features
The cutting condition and main setting of cutting plotters can be set up on the software and synchronized. The settings can also be saved, so that users of multiple PCs can cut smoothly under the same condition.

The registration marks can be added into the arts board of the design application software. It can be selected from 10 patterns according to the design object size and the precision of axis alignment in the Print & Cut applications.
The cutting object can be split into smaller tiles. When the object needs to be placed to the surface made by multiple panels or is larger than the width of the media, the object can be split to size for fit it.
It is used for creating multiple copies of the same object. The object is copied in specified matrix condition.
The border line and weeding lines can be added around the cutting object automatically and then it is cut. It makes easier to remove the excess material from the media.
The Cutting Master 5 is able to assign the tool condition to the each color or the layer. The settings of tool condition as force, speed, quality (acceleration) and others can be set for the each color or the layer. It can be performed in a single job by process of different types.
Plot data is created from the design by using Cutting Master 5, then it is saved to USB flash memory. The plot data file can be selected from the USB on the plotter, then cutting is performed. This simplified work-flow enables users to operate without a computer.
- The USB flash memory format only supports FAT32.
Please note that NTFS and exFAT are not supported.

In Print & cut operation, the plot data is automatically selected from USB flash memory by scanning the barcode printed on the media. Barcode is created by using Cutting Master 5. This prevents the usage of incorrect data, and improves work efficiency.
- The USB flash memory format only supports FAT32.

After data is sent the first time, it can be copied multiple times without a PC.

In the FC9000 / CE7000 / FCX2000 / FCX4000, the first four marks are scanned on the first sheet, and only the first mark in subsequent sheets. Cutting Master 5 is able to configure FCX 2000 / FCX4000 to execute copy in this condition. This improves productivity by shorting scan detection time.
Cutting is aligned to the printed graphic by printing the industry standard crop marks. Adding special marks with Graphtec software is not necessary. Cutting Master 5 is able to get information of crop mark from Adobe Illustrator and send it to FCX2000.

- Make sure to close other cutting software before starting Cutting Master 5.
- Administrator permission will be required.
- It is run in the 32-bit compatible mode (WOW64 mode) when the 64-bits Windows OS is used.
- The firmware needs to be the following version.
• FC9000 series: version 1.39 or later
• CE7000 series: version 1.27 or later
• FCX4000 series: version 3.20 or later
• FCX2000 series: version 3.80 or later
• FC8600 series: version 3.50 or later
• CE6000 Plus series: version 1.40 or later - The cutting conditions specified by this software will not be effective unless setting is changed on the operation panel of cutting plotter when using the following models.
CE6000Plus series
Change the setting of CONDITION PRIORITY from MANUAL to PROGRAM in the TOOLS SETTING menu. - Not available in editions other than Graphics Suit including Home and Student / Standard / Essentials / Technical Suite.
- Please make sure to update CorelDRAW to version X7.6 or later before use.
- CorelDRAW 2020 and later has been tested with active subscription.
